Our Logo

Logo- ‘N’ is the principal part of the logo that signifies Niveditha. The human figure attached to ‘N’ represents a person offered to God. The flames by the side of the human figure indicate the internal disposition of the subject as well as the external scientific assistance at Niveditha.

The flames over the person represent the Holy Spirit, who is the primary agent of human formation. The semicircle is the sign of the human quest for self-transcendence.

Our History

On 23 September 1994, Bishop Jacob Manathodath laid the foundation stone of Niveditha. It was blessed and formally opened for the service on 23 September 1996 by Cardinal Antony Padiyara, the then Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. Fr. Dr Thomas Chakiath who later became the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese conceptualized and founded Niveditha with the vision of having a common formation house for religious women. Gradually, it has widened its mission also to priests and laity along with religious sisters.
