Training Program To Provide Psycho-Spiritual First Aid To Catechism Students.

This course is designed to prepare Safeguarding Ministers for service in parishes for the near future. It is designed also to equip mentors and teachers with the vital skills needed to support the emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being of catechism students. Its a joint venture of the Catechism Department & Niveditha Institute (Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly).

OBJECTIVES :

  • Equip Mentors: To train catechism teachers in the core principles of Psychological First Aid.
  • To create a safe-environment for the healthy development of children and preventing any form of abuse against children.
  • Early Identification: To help mentors recognize early signs of emotional, behavioural, or psychological distress in students.
  • Immediate Support: To enable educators to offer a safe, non-judgmental listening space and refer to the experts if needed.
  • Holistic Guidance: To effectively bridge the gap between spiritual mentoring and mental well-being in the classroom.
